Salicornia is a halophytic wild plant that has particulars like salinity resistance and use of saline as water source. Salicornia also has been used as edible, pharmaceutical and industrial plant. Regarding to this advantages it is familiar as a strategic plant in some countries such as USA, Saudi Arabia and Mexico. In the other hand Iran has been known as an important mother land of salicornia having high despersion of the plant but study on salicornia species is very limited. In this investigation 36 individuals from different regions of Iran was gathered. These ones were used in (RAPD) using 17 random primers. Five primers produced most diferent banding pattern were selected and experiments conducted using these five ones. Analysis of different banding pattern with jackard similarity coeficient revealed 7 groups among samples usng UPGMA method. Results showed salicornia had many genetic variation in Iran then complemenary studies on is proposed to finding species with high oil and protein quality.
