Evaluation of exotic safflower genotypes for quantitative and qualitative traits

To determinate the most important quantitative and qualitative traits.of exotic safflower genotypes ,an experiment was conducted on 200 safflower varieties in 2001-2002 in Karaj,. some important traits such as : head number per plant, seeds per head, plant height , days to flowering, days to maturity, were recorded during the growth period and oil percentage, 1000 seed weight,seed and oil yields were measured after harvesting.The genotypes were different for seed yield,and yield component. the highest seed was belong to L.R.V.51.51 with 2833 Kg/ha.
