Chardoli Plain with 28780 hectars is located in north west of Hamadan city. Geoghraphycal position of it is 34´to 47´North latitute and 48´to 47´ sast longtitute. Stattistical studies and weather classification shows that the area has cold meditrainian climate with relatively temperate and dry summers and cold, moist winters. Minmum rainfall occures in winter and spring. The area moisture regime is xeric and temperature regime is Mesic. Based on meteorological statistics growing period lenth was determined 150 days that is short for cultivation of major crops and because of low temperature in growing period cultivation is impossible. Dry farming of wheat has basic problems in the area. Up to climatical characteristics, dry farming of wheat has critical suitability (S3). And due to mentioned limitations in the area none of those products recognized completely suitable (S1). Land suitability evaluation in this study is based on two methodes (simple and parameteic). Reconnaissance soil survey and land evaluation of Hassan Abad was based for soil information of land. Based on this survey two order (Entisols and Inceptisols), nine family and eleven phases were recognized. Meteorological statistics of synoptic and climatology of Dosar station was used for determination of climate characteristics of area. Four products (irrigated and dry farming of wheat and irrigated farming of potato and barley) with moderate management were selected as utilization types. Slope, topography, texture, stoniness, PH, drainage and lime were limitation factors. Climate was determined suitable for barley and relatively suitable for wheat and critical for dry farming of wheat and potato.
