Evaluation of elite barley lines in on farm condition.

Improvement and realize of a new variety which has good efficiency in use of environmental potential in rainfed condition besides the grain yield increment, causes varieties multiplicity. The credibility and success of a new research found in access to new varieties in research field depends on the performance of them at farmer condition in comparison with commerical varieties. In this research a number of 8 barley genotypes plus 2 Sahand & Abidar varieties as checks with cold tolerance were planted as on-farm trial using RCBD design with 3 replications. The experiment was conducted in Gorveh city area in east part of the Kordistan province. During growing season notes were taken on days to heading, days to maturity, plant height, lodging, disease development, pests and grain yield. Analysis was done on genotypes grain yield production using MSTAT-C software. Results indicated that none of the genotypes were superior than Abidar variety as check with 2868 kg\\ha and based on mentioned L.S.D at 5% probability(1001kg/ha) all of varieties were located in same class with check.
