Evaluation of salinity tolerance lines/varieties of barley in yield trial.

In this experiment 18 lines / varieties that hed been selected from last year PBYT- salt were used. The experiment was done as RCBD with three replication from 2005 to 2007. Traits such as grain yield, thousand kernel weight, number of spike per m-2 , number of grain per spike, peduncle length, plant high , length of spike, days to heading , days to maturity were measured. Based on the results of combined analysis between lines / varieties was significant difference in traits such as days to heading, peduncle length, and number of grain per spike at 1% level. In the first year (2005-2006) lines number 11 and 12 with grain yield 4.3 and 4.2 ton/ha were better than the checks, but in second year 2006-2007 all lines / varieties were lower or as the same to checks in grain yield. Based on the results lines number 8,9,19 and 12 with grain yield 3.2, 2.7, 2.9 and 2.9 ton/ha respectively were better than the others.
