Pursuat to the strategic determination of the Serbian Government for the accession to the EU, development of the strategy of cleaner production was started. Starting points and goals of the Strategy are reported in this article. Basics of the Strategy model related to the food industry, the existing situation of agriculture regarding the cleaner production, advantages and shortages as well as methodological approach to adopting and implementing the Strategy.
