The influence of row spacing on fertile node number of soybean under irrigation conditions

The results obtained suggested the following: The number of nodes with pods was significantly dependent on maturity group. The late cultivar was determined to have a significantly higher numbers of nodes with pods (ranging from 1.95 to 2.78) as compared to other cultivars. Increases in spacings induced an increase in the number of nodes with pods (12.05, 12.37 and 13.51). A positive correlation was established between the fertile node number and yield per plant.
