The authors shows characteristics of multi-risk crop insurance in Spain. It analyses how the state relates to insurance, all institutions involved in insurance process, which crops can be insured, types of crop insurance risks and ways of risk protection. Advantages and disadvantages of current multi-risk crop insurance are also being analyzed, as well as other relevant factors that have crucial influence on the development of multi-risk crop insurance in Spain.
