Main goal of this thesis is checking on the possibility of bringing Serbia back among top producers and exporters in the world. The great tradition of plum cultivation, global recognition of plum products from our country, past export results, also the past lidership among exporters of dry plum, were initial elements for this research. With research that contained production parameters, alternation, export and development possibilitiies of plum making in Serbia, we comed to the results that are not satisfying, but they confirm, that with accurate guiding, plum making in Serbia can step back in the line with the top plum producers in world. Problems are targeted in every phase and activity in production and alternation of plum. With successful overcoming of problems that go along with plum making, conditions for rentable export, will be gained. Bringing plum back to Serbian global brends is possible only with recovery strategy, in making of which will participate all relevant sides, and whom elaborate and guidenes will finance and lead relevant state institutions. Without an action of this type plum production in Serbia will start to extinguish.
