Potato cyst nematodes Globodera rostochiensis and Globodera pallida, economically important species from the genus Globodera spp. first recorded in Serbia recently were researched in this dissertation. The investigation on their distribution, identification of species by morphometric and molecular methods, study of life-cycle, research of the effect of susceptible and resistant varieties of potato on nematode population and yield in infested field, determination of pathotypes and susceptibility of domestic (Serbian) varieties as host plants was carried out.
