Fermented milk drink EM-Kurunga (EMK) is allowed for human consumption as a food product. Microorganisms contained in the drink are also useful for birds. As a result of the vital activity interferon-alpha 2 leukocytic, enzymes, vitamins and other biologically active substances come in the organism of a bird. In some time the colony of introduced microorganisms is fully removed from the organism. The consumption rate of a serum (millil/head) from EMK for 1-10 day-old chickens is 0.2, 11-20 day-old ones – 0.4, 21-day-old and older – 0.7. The purchase of the preparation is multiply warranted by weight gain, diminishing the mortality and expenses for medicines. From 0.002 kg of dry starter up to 30 kg of drink can be produced. The drink whey should be gradually stirred for even distribution of it in the food mixture. The estimated amount of EMK is mixed with a 10-fold amount of food and held in the anaerobic conditions for 2 days. The resulted mass is mixed again with untreated food in a ratio of 1:10 and added to the total volume of the food mixture. The content of amino acids in the food as a result of fermentation increases by about 28%. For the greatest weight gain feeding poultry with fermented food should be stopped 14 days before slaughter. The addition of EMK for drinking water the concentration of ammonia at poultry farms decreases by 42%, using the fermented food by 54%, the combination of these variants by 69%. Because of the use of EMK for 1 year at a poultry farm the need for the application antibiotics and dangerous disinfectants can be fully excluded.
