There is given a characterization of etiology, epizootology, symptomatology and pathomorphology of colibacillosis in calves and lambs whose diagnosis is comprehensive including lifetime and postmortem bacteriological, as well as differential diagnosis. There is presented a pharmacological and toxicological characterization showing therapeutic and prophylactic efficiency of enterosorbents EST-1, biostil, enterovis and hyperimmune allogenic serum (HIS) for colibacillosis in calves and lambs. The prophylactic efficiency of EST-1 when feeding lambs and calves is 100 and 96%, respectively. The influence of different methods of using EST-1 for colibacillosis and biostil for diarrhea on treatment efficiency, survivability of youngsters and therapeutic efficacy is shown. The efficacy of combined application of EST-1 and HIS for treating and preventing gastro-intestinal diseases of calves was 100%, EST-1 alone – 96.7%, with treatment time – 1.5 and 2.3 days. The recovery time of calves with gastroenteritis received bismuth salt solutions at the dose 1-3 ml/kg 1-2 times a day was 2.6 days. It is concluded that EST-1, biostil, enterovis and HIS have antibacterial properties, stimulate cellular and humoral immunity, and are low toxic. They are recommended to cure and prevent gastro-intestinal diseases of youngsters, in particular, colibacillosis
