The article discusses own researches and experiences with breeding goats. It discusses goats' behavior while consuming plants and also systematization of plants consumed by goats. The study and systematization of plants consumed by goats lead to surprising results. After systematical division of plants to meadow's plants, herbs, trees, bushes, field's plants and field's weeds we find out the variety of plants consumed by goats. There is no other species of domesticated ruminants who consume such a variety of plants and plant's parts than goats. Goats are able to compose very quality meal that covers their needs of maintenance and production of milk. Because of listed characteristics we can use goats as first to pasture the overgrown surfaces. After goats pasture we can use these surfaces for pasture of more demanding species (sheep, cattle, horses).
