Objective of this study was to learn about the direct use of forest resource in the upper part of Mae Sa Watershed, comprises 2 ethnicities community as northern Thai and Hmong. The results showed that there were 11 categories of the forest use, bamboo, bamboo shoot, mushroom, wild vegetable, wild fruit, wildlife, eatable insects, herbal medicine, fuel wood, wild orchid and honey. The community took two kinds of benefits from the forest which were benefit for consumed in household and benefit for sold. The study showed that the average net value of forest resource utilization was about 1,658.55 baht per household per year. The net value for the northern Thai was 2,150.01 baht per household per year and those for the Hmong was 718.74 baht per household per year. The net value of forest resource utilization for Mae Sa Watershed was 2,215,822.80 baht per household per year.
