Research on some solutions of science and technology to develop mango in Quang Tri province

The results obtained from 2002-2004 (3 years) in Huong Hoa district - Quangtri province showed that there are 11 mango varieties. Most of mango varieties grown there gave low yield and bad quality. Utilization of GL6 mango variety for improved grafting gave initial result: the graftings have given good growth and development. GI-6 mango variety was grown in the pilot site in Huong Hoa district gave high yield after 32 months (average yield reached 5-6 ton/hectare).
