Current state improvement of pedigree basis of cattle breeding in the Republic of Armenia

Before 90s in Armenia there were pedigree breeding farms, pedigree stations and enterprises of artificial insemination. During privatization the majority of pedigree farms, pedigree stations were liquidated. At present there are new established pedigree farms and most of them haven't sufficient facilities. In order to maintain and improve the genofund of cattle breed in the Republic of Armenia, it is necessary to restore the existing pedigree farms according to new requirements.
