The intensive usage of the available water resources of good quality and its high price has shown it is necessary that the water of poorer quality should be used. It imposes a good quality control on the water for irrigation to avoid emerging problems at using inadequate quality water. The assessment of the suitability of the available water for irrigation is in dependence on the requirements of the different crops, takes into consideration the results of the chemical laboratory analysis and agro-meteorological parameters. On the basis of the developed methodological algorithm for assessment of the quality of irrigation water was developed a related model and in the process of establishment an on-going programme software. The most part of indicators and interrelations are in compliance with the FAO methodology. Now, they are under adjustment to the new regulations for irrigation water quality. The development of a mathematical model for assessment of the quality of irrigation water is strongly connected with the knowledge of suitable information system. The presentation takes into consideration not only the available data but also the possibility of other necessary data. The part of information is constant, or it changes per periods which are not shorter than several years. The data are applied directly by the software as tables and the system user has an access to its during the system usage.
