INDICADORES Y FACTORES INFLUYENTES EN LA DETERMINACIÓN DE LAS DIMENSIONES DE LAS UNIDADES BÁSICAS DE PRODUCCIÓN FORESTAL

En el presente trabajo se hace un análisis de los indicadores y factores que influyen en la determinación de las dimensiones de las Unidades Básicas de Producción Forestal (UBPF), así como una valoración para determinar las dimensiones que deben adoptar las unidades de base utilizando la encuesta aplicada por Rossie (2001) a especialistas de diferentes entidades subordinadas a ellas. Se emplearon métodos como el de expertos, ponderación y análisis, y se estableció por prioridad los indicadores y factores más representativos, teniendo en cuenta además los criterios e indicadores para la ordenación forestal sostenible. La investigación arrojó que entre los indicadores y factores más representativos se encuentran: valor de la producción, superficie cubierta de bosques, nivel de mecanización, transporte, costos de producción y capacidad de dirección.

In the present paper an analysis is made of indicators and factors that influence the determination of the dimensions of the Basic Forestry Production Area (BFPA); as well as a valoration, using the test applied by Rossie (2001) to specialist of different entities under their direction. Different methods were used such as: experts, ponderation and analysis, establishing by priority the most representative factors and indicators. Taking into account also the criteria and indicators for Sustainable Forest Management. As results the investigation shows that within the grouping of the most representative indicators and factors there are: production value, surface area covered by forests, technological level, transport, production cost and managenical capacity.
