Efecto de tres fungicidas sobre la viabilidad de distintas cepas de Rhizobium japonicum

Se estudió la interacción entre 10 cepas de Rhizobium japonicum y los fungicidas Captan, Ceresan, y TMTD, aplicados a semillas de soya de la variedad V-9 antes de la inoculación. En condiciones de laboratorio, el Captan y el Ceresan inhibieron el crecimiento de todas las cepas probadas, con mayor o menor intensidad según la sensibilidad de la cepa, mientras que el TMTD tuvo una influencia muy reducida sobre el desarrollo. En el campo se manifestó una notable disminución del número y el tamaño de los nódulos cuando se empleó Captan y Ceresan; el TMTD no influyó. en el número de nódulos ni en su tamaño, por lo que se recomienda su empleo para tratar las semillas de soya que sean inoculadas con cepas cubanas de R. japonicum.

Английский. Experiments were conducted to study the interaction between 10 strains of Rhizobium japonicum and seed protectants Captan, Ceresan, and TMTD, applied to soybean seeds cv. V-9, prior to inoculation of the mentioned bacterial strains. Under laboratory conditions, Captan and Ceresan inhibited development of all strains tested, with differing responses among strains, according to their sensitivity. TMTD did not influence bacterial development. Field results showed that the number and size of the nodules were significantly reduced if Captan and Ceresan were applied. TMTD did not influence the nodulation process. This compound is recommended as a seed protectant if applied simultaneously with artificial inoculation using Cuban strains of R. japonicum.
