The aim of the present study was to evaluate the nutritive value of pearl millet in adult cockeries. The apparent dry matter metabolizability was significantly increased by 5.10%dueto grinding of pearl millet. However, the apparent crude protein digestibility was significantly lower in ground grain by 8.80%. There was no significant effect of grinding on the true DMM and protein digestibility. On the contrary, the AMEn, TME and TMEn values of pearl millet were increased by 4.90, 8.29 and 8.60 percent respectively due to grinding. The present study revealed that grinding of pearl millet grain improves its nutritive value for poultry.
