Planting date and density effects were evaluated on a sunflower new hybrid as name as Cms26 ×R26 in a split plot design as base of randomized complete block design in Karaj, Esfahan and Zanjan in 1384 and 1385. Planting date had four levels as 21 days interval and planting density had three levels as 6, 8 and 10 plant.m-2 (density had four levels in Karaj). The results indicated that delaying in planting date caused to decrease in yield, significantly. The new hybrid had moderate growth duration and height. Therefor, it responsed to increasing of plant density. The yield was increased, when plant density was the highest. Plant density had different effect on yield in planting dates. It's effect was reduced by delaying in planting date. Planting density had significant effect on yield in early planting date, but all planting densities were in the same group in late planting dates. Depletion of day/night temperature in seed filling stage had important effect on decreasing of yield. Decreasing of seed weight and seed number per plant caused to decrease seed yield. Seed oil content decreased by delaying in planting date. The highest yield was got by the highest planting density in all regions. The most suitable treatments produced more than 4000 kernel per hactar that were 19 Ordibehesht to 9 Khordad and 12 plant. m-2 in Karaj, 9 Khordad and 10 plant. m-2 in Esfahan, 21 Ordibehesht and 2 Khordad and 10 plant. m-2 in Zanjan.
