Identification of mycobacterium. strains in yazdian lung tuberculosis

Between June 1994 and April 1996 , 195 Patients with Suspected lung tuberculosis were Mycobacterial Positive. Among this Patients, 100 Patients were tested for identification of Mycobacterium strains. Specimens of 86 Patients were Mycobacterium tuberculosis Positive and Specimens of 14 Patients were a typical Mycobacterium Positive. NO infection by Mycobacterium bovis was observated . The highest number was found in patients agad 70 - 79 years in both groups of the 86 lung tuberculoses patients, the highest Percentaga was found in housewives (58/2%) and 14 Patients with infection by a typical Mycobactteria in Farmers ( 35/8%) . Drug susceptibility teste showed resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates to INH in 1 isolate (1/16%) , SM 1 isolate (1/16% ) and one case was resistance to more thanone drug. Resistance of a typical mycobacteria isolates to INH 1 ( 14/28% ) . SM 1 (28/57% ) RMP ( 28/57 % ) and 5 cases were resistance to more than one drug.
