The long-term trial plots in forest research are inventoried and recorded with their coordinates in GPS system established. The software for the database is developed. Every object is described by 28 descriptors, including: registration number, year of establishing the trial, field of research and research objective, coordinates of the object, forest manager, research institution, and contact person. At present totally 440 objects are registered, of which 243 are included in the SNS NOLTFOX database - http://noltfox.metla.fi. The objects are accessible at the database of the LFRI "Silava".
