Problems associated with the usage of accumulation water by drip irrigation system

Analyses have been carried out to determine the qualitative and quantitative representations of the phytoplankton at the Paljurci water accumulation close to Bogdanci (F.Y. Republic of Macedonia). The phytoplankton in the water that passes through s filter station, as well as on the sediment that remains at the emitters in the greenhouse for horticultural crops production in a drip irrigation system was also analysed. In this accumulation, 46 algal species were identified, which belong to 3 sections: Cyanophyta, Chromophyta and Chlorophyta. Considering the quantitative representation of the algae that remain at the emitters, 95% are fragments of the algae Melosira granulata, while all the other algal species are represented only by a few units. Clogging of the emitters by Melosira granulata fragments because their dimensions are greater than those of the emitters due to the presence of organic sediment.
