The aim of this thesis was to investigate the potential for oral application of a hydrosolubile molecule cefotaxime (in the form of its sodium salt) excapsulated in non-ionic microvesicules with semi-synthetic bile acid sodium 3alfa,7alfa-dihydroxy-12-keto-5beta-cholic acid in the form of its sodium salt (sodium salt of monoketocholic acid). After the pharmacokinetic analysis it can be concluded that maximum concentration and area under the time concentration curve estrapolated to infinity are significantly higher after cefotaxime encapsulation in microvesicules with sodium salt of monoketocholic acid in comparison to values when cefotaxime was applied in the form of microvesicles within sodium salt of monoketocholic acid.
