[Intensification of strawberry propagation and growing in the South of the Western Siberia]
2009
Stolnikova, N.P.
A technology of commercial growing of strawberry planting material was developed which meant using mulching, flower stalk removing (FSR), frameless covering of mother plantations, finish growing of transplant seedlings in plastic-covered houses and on plunging beds under nonwoven material, using of plant growth regulators, winter storage of transplant seedlings, planting in early spring. A hundred and twenty eight national and foreign strawberry varieties were studied, 64 forms selected by fruiting stability and resistance to abiotic and biotic factors. The researches were hold in the steppe and forest steppe zones of the Altaj Territory and in the forest steppe zone of the Novosibirsk Region. Soil mulching by blue and black film and by organic matter (pea, straw) increased an output of standard seedlings (OSS) by 14.9-31.7 and 22.9-38.1% respectively. FSR increased a seedling output (SO) by 11.5-45.7% in compare with the control meaning. Covering mother plantations by perforated film raised the OSS by 26.2-34.7%. The SO was 176.9-189.8 units per square meter, including 88.5-94.9% of standard ones, at growing of rosettes with a root length of 0.01-0.03 m. Biohumus application for a pricking ground (the varieties Festival and Anastasiya) resulted in the SO increase by 22.8 and 36.0% in compare with a nonfertilized background. The OSS was 142.5-157.0 units/mE2 after spraying of the varieties Festival and Anastasiya by the growth regulator Tellur-M (0.1%). Spraying by the pea and humus fertilizer Feniks (0.01%) resulted in the maximum addition of SO (12.3-51.1%) on the 7 day after pricking off. A total SO from annual mother plantations was 506 400 units per ha at planting in the beginning of May that was in 5.8 times higher than at planting at the end of May. The intensive technology of strawberry propagation provided a level of profitability of 212%. The most adaptive and high yielding varieties can provide productivity of 8300-13900 kg/ha and level of profitability about 72.9-141.5%.
