In the production experiments at a peasant farm in 2004-2006 in the forest-steppe zone of the Central Volga region the influence of mineral fertilizers of biopreparations of associated diazotrophs on the agrochemical properties of chernozems of buckwheat yield were studied. Some effective biopreparations were used: rhizoagrin, flavobacterin, mizirin and extrasol. The planting of buckwheat seeds treated with associated diazotrophs on leached chernozems increased the crop yield by 0.20—0.46 t/ha on average for three years. The combination of bio-preparations with mineral fertilizers (N45P45) increased the crop yield by 0.87-1.04 t/ha. The high yield of buckwheat was related to the maximum activity of soil enzymes urease, amylase, catalase, and invertase at the combined application of mineral fertilizers and biopreparations. The maximum content of nitrogen nitrate in soil throughout the vegetation period was observed in combined application of mineral fertilizers with mizorin and rhizoagrin. Maximum content of labile Pin soil was also found in combined application of mineral fertilizers and biopreparations. Combined application of mineral fertilizers and biopreparations provided a maximum increment of aboveground biomass, maximum amount of pure product9vity of photosynthesis
