Effect of mineral fertilization and preplant treatment of seeds with biological preparations on the content of chlorophyll in winter wheat leaves | Влияние минеральных удобрений и предпосевной обработки семян биологическими препаратами на содержание хлорофилла в листьях озимой пшеницы

The effect of the preplant treatment of winter wheat seeds with complex bacterial and lectin-bacterial preparations (biological farming elements) and mineral fertilizers (N60P60K60 before planting and N30 split application during the vegetation) on the content of chlorophyll in plant leaves (assessed with an N tester) and the yield and quality of grain (protein, vitreousness) was studied in field experiments in 2005-2008. The lectin-bacterial prepa¬ration is based on wheat lectin (P1)and strain of free-living nitrogen-fixing soil microorganisms Azotobacter chroococcum T79. The bacterial preparation (2) is based on isolates of nitrogen-fixing microorganisms of wheat rhizosphere. The seeds were treated at the day of seeding. The main application of mineral fertilizer was in autumn, spring-summer dressings were at phases of tillering, booting, and earing. The preseeding treatment with P1 and P2 against simultaneous mineral fertilizer application and nitrogen dressing have greatly changes the spectral characteristics of plsnt leaves in different vegetation phases. The efficiency of the combined application of biological preparations and mineral fertilizers (N60+30P60K60) for growing winter wheat was shown. A direct correlation was found between the N-tester readings and the yield, protein content, and vitreousness of wheat grain. The closest correlation relationship between the spectral characteristics of leaves and quality values of of grain was found for the phase of earing
