The efficacy and selectivity of the three insecticides, Agerin 6.5 WP, Applaud 100EC + Calfos 400 EC and Pestban 48EC, were evaluated in a large scale trial at ELGubshan block, Gezira Scheme during season 2006/07. The tested products showed comparable performance to that of the standard treatment in controlling the African bollworm and whitefly, the major and dominant insect pests in season 2006/07
