The efficacy of Comodor 20% SL (imidacloprid) against whitefly, B. tabaci, on tomato was evaluated in a field experiment at New Halfa Research Station Farm during season 2006/07. Comodor showed comparable performance to those of the counterpart, Confidor 200 SL (imidacloprid) and the standard, Danitol 20% EC (fenpropathrin) in reducing whitefly populations. Comodor, Confidor and Danitol significantly increased tomato yield compared to the untreated control. The yields obtained from the three insecticides treatments were comparable
