Evaluation of topazol 100 EC, a new formulation of penconazole, for the control of powdery mildew on tomato

A newly introduced formulation of penconazole was tested for its efficacy to control powdery mildew of tomato at the Gezira Research Farm (GRF) in season 2006/07. The fungicide at the three tested rates significantly reduced powdery mildew incidence and severity compared to the untreated control and showed comparable performance to that of the counterpart, Topas 100 EC. Topazol 100 EC and Topas 100 EC significantly increased tomato yield compared to the untreated control
