Evaluation of lvory M 72 WP (mancozeb+metalaxyl) for the control of early blight caused by alternaria spp on tomato

An experiment was conducted at Elsagay (37km North of Khartoum) on the eastern bank of the river Nile for three consecutive seasons (2004/05, 2005/06 and 2006/07) to evaluate the efficacy of Ivory M 72 WP for the control of early blight. The medium and higher dosage rates of Ivory significantly reduced disease severity in the first two seasons compared to the untreated control. The medium and higher dosage rates of the fungicide in the first two seasons significantly increased tomato yield compared to the untreated control
