Pesticide residues found in agricultural products produced by Slovene market producers were determined until their placement on the market, i. e. after harvesting, in accordance with the Law on Plant Protection Products (Off. G. RS No.: 98/04) and Regulation on Residues of Plant Protection Products Found in and on Agricultural Commodities and Products (Off. G. RS No.: 84/04). In the years 2005 and 2006, a total of 296 samples of different agricultural products: potatoes, lettuce, apples, spinach, string beans, cucumbers, pears, carrot, peas, strawberries, pepper, cauliflower, grapes and cereals were analysed. The surveillance sampling was performed in the areas of Celje, Koper, Nova Gorica, Novo mesto, Murska Sobota, Maribor and Ljubljana.
