Research was realized in 2006-2009 in localities Nitra, Topoľčany, Komárno, Partizánske, Prievidza, Piešťany, Hlohovec and Trnava. It was oriented at autochthonous and allochthonous phytophagous insect species and mites monitoring, which occur on woody plants in urban environment. The main aim of research was dragged phytophagous entomofauna in Slovakia. Generally, activity of 414 species and 5 varietes of phytophagous species was recorded on woody plants. The non-indigenous species taken from this number make 52 species, which represent about 12%. During the research we recorded 9 new non-indigenous pests species for the first time in our area. The highest number of dragged species comes from Asia, but in the last years the importance of Mediterranean and North-American species has been increasing. A certain influence of non-indigenous species number increase can be caused by climatic change not only in our area but all around the world.
