Study on scientific basies to register geograpical indication named "Phuc Trach" for Phuc Trach pomelo in Ha Tinh province

Phuc Trach pomelo is one of sour pomelo subspecies (aurantioideae), but when being growed in Huong Khe district its glucose percent is 7.46 _ 10.20%, the acid percent is low 0.31- 0.60%, glucose is over 14.5 times higher than organic acid, accompanied brix degree is 10- 11.8. The perceptible characteristic of Phuc Trach pomelo is dry, crispy, light sweet and sour. The specific quality of Phuc Trach pomelo connect closely with the characteristic of terrain, climate, rivers and streams, land of Huong Khe district and the cultivation experience of Huong Khe's residents. Phuc Trach pomelo geographical indication's protected area is 2416.8 ha, being the convergence of all elements related to quality and conditions that make the quality area.
