ELMAZ – THE NEW BULGARIAN MINICARNATION VARIETY | ЕЛМАЗ – НОВ БЪЛГАРСКИ СОРТ МИНИКАРАМФИЛ

The new variety Elmaz is an interspecies hybrid Dianthus caryohyllus f. spray Hort. X D. gratianopolitanus L. with healthy and laying-resistant anthophores, therefore, suitable for growing without trellis. It had of 4-6 strongly fragrant, double and large blooms diam. 3-4 cm per anthophore. Bloom color ranged from light pink to light purple. The variety showed high resistance to Fusarium wilt. The plants of Elmaz variety overwintered successfully, therefore, it could be grown on one and the same place for 3-4 years. The variety is recommended for cut flower production as well as for garden and park landscaping independently or in combination with other ornamental species.
