Results of studying of the biological efficiency of herbicide Pirate (suspension concentrate, diflufenican, 100 ml/l + isoproturon, 500 ml/l) for winter grain crops (rye (Secale cereale), wheat (Triticum aestivum), and triticale) during its autumn and spring application in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. It was determined that the herbicide applied (in rate of 0,75-1,0 l/ha) for winter crops in autumn at 1-3 leaves stag and in early spring at tillering stage proved to be effective against annual dicotyledonous and cereal grass weeds (catchweed (Galium aparine), corn mayweed (Matricaria inodora), loose silky bent (Арега spica-ventis), field pansy (Viola arvensis), black bindweed (Polygonum convolvulus), chickweed satin flower (Stellaria media), etc.) and made it possible to eradicate 89,7-100% of weeds. The total number of dicotyledonous weeds after Pirate application reduced on 63,7-75,0%, weight – on 63,3-78,3%. As a result of weed infestation in the experiment variants with Pirate herbicide, the average grain yields of winter wheat was 63,8-64,9 c/ha (with 55,9 c/ha in the control variant without weeding). The saved grain yield of winter wheat after Pirate application was 7,9-9,0 c/ha (and 7,8-8,9 c/ha in the model variant). The saved grain yield of winter triticale after Pirate application was 5,9-7,6 c/ha (and 6,0-7,2 c/ha in the model variant)
