Microelement balanced nutrition is the way of nation health improvement. Selenium content importance is required with its antioxidant activity and medical value. Belarus is a country with a critically low level of selenium availability. Recommended norms of daily selenium consumption are declared by the World Health Organization and calculated per each country. Selenium content increase may be achieved by foodstuffs enrichment with selenium. Selenium enrichment of food can be realized with selenium-containing medicine producing and with selenium-enriched plant producing. Application of the selenium fertilizers on vegetating plants is the method described in the research. Influence of the selenium preparations on grain crop yield is analyzed. Dependence of the fertilizers' dozes on selenium accumulation in the grains is evaluated. Accumulation coefficients are calculated. As a result of the vegetation experiment on sod-podzolic loamy soils with low content of selenium it's established that application of 40 mkg/kg; 160 and 320 mkg/kg of selenium in the form of selenate and sodium selenate contributes to the accumulation of microelements of selenium in millet, barley, buckwheat and pea grains. However, barley and millet absorb 2.8–6.4 times more selenium from selenate than from sodium selenate and buckwheat and pea – 8.2–15.7 times more.
