Analysis of the development of engineering and technical system in agro-industrial complex in the Republic of Belarus is given. Some problem areas of its development are discussed. Main equipment-producing enterprises of the Republic, such as Minsk Tractor Works, Gomselmash, Minsk Motor Plant are analyzed according the technical policy, service and maintenance level. State of national technical documentation is evaluated. Elements of agro-engineering infrastructure are outlined. Among the most important are noticed: technical and agro-chemical service dealers; energy-servicing enterprises; transport dealers; special repair and maintenance enterprises; producing service firms; innovation development enterprises. The most important measures concerned with reconstruction and development of national engineering and technical system are suggested, modern trends of equipment exploitation and utilization are offered.
