The influence of two surfactants, Silwet L-77 and Break Thru S 240, on the efficacy of fungicides applied against apple scab and cherry leaf spot was tested during the years 2006-2008. Trials were conducted on apple cultivars Gloster, Melrose, Golden Delicious and the sour cherry cultivar Schattenmorelle. Addition of surfactants did not significantly enhance the efficacy of fungicides. Apple fruits treated with the mixture of fungicide + Break Thru S 240 had a higher content of fungicide residues, which proved that the surfactant increased the adhesion of pesticides.
