Effect of different planting date on yield and yield components in hopeful varieties of cotton.

Planting date is one of the important factors in economic production of cotton crop and itۥs different varieties have varying planting date. So obtaining the optimum planting date of new released varieties need to investigation. This experiment was conducted in Darab agriculture research station with two factor, a: Five planting date 20 April, 30 April, 11 May, 21 May and 1 June as main plots, b: three cotton varieties Bakhtegan (check), N.200 and chockorava as sub plots in four replications (in 2006 and 2007) each plot included six row with nine meter length. The measuring parameters included seed cotton yield and its components, earliness, plant height, number of sympodia and monopodia. The results indicated that the yield and earliness was positively influenced by earlier planting data. The N.200 variety have done produced most of seed cotton yield. The optimum planting date of Bakhtegan, N.200 and chockorava varieties were (20 April to 30 April), (20 April to 30 April) and 20 April respectirely.
