Treatment of rice straw by Pleurotus and use it Afshari lambs fattelling diet

Rice straw is one of the crop by products, in zanjan province mainly produce around the Qczel-ozan river and Tarom-olya region, and it is not greatly considered as a feeding stuff at the present time. Because of it's low nutritive value and quality, it is nessesary to use chemical and biological processing to enrich it.In tIlls cxp,eriment rice straw was treated by fungi (plurotos-spp.), and nutritive value of the treated product was evaluated by using 18 afshari male lambs. Effects of 3 diets containing %25 of rice straw as dry matter basis: J ..non-treated lice straw,2fungal miceHium treated and 3-fungal treated rice straw after harvesting mushroom, were studied on the faUening traits of the Jambs, based on a completIly randomized desing. Lambs were fed by iso caloric & iso nitrogenous diets for 4 months (3 treatments with 6 replications). Daily dry matter intake of rations containing fllngall1licelJium treated and treated rice straw after mushroom harvesting were (1627.58, 1666.04 grs.) respectively and differed significantly with tlle non-treated rice straw (1509.00 grs.). There were not significant difference between the 3 treatment for: average daily gain (187 , 216 , 202 grs.) , final body weight (44.95,45,92,47.08 kgr.), Feed canversayion ratio (8.07 , 7.53 , 8.25) , meat yeild (5553.3 , 5873.3,5667.5 grs.), Bone (1793.33,1787.50, 1833.33 grs.), total weight of right carcass tree offat (8426.7 , 8931.7 ,8843.3 grs.), (P0.05).
