Английский. Deficiency of vitamin A and its active form retinoic acid (RA) during embryogenesis manifests in abnormalities of cardiovascular development. The function of RA at very early stages of heart development have not been studied. Examining the interaction between RA and TGFβ2 main conclusions are: (i) during early heart development the absence of vitamin A in the VAD quail embryo leads to an increased accumulation of TGFβ2 protein and its mRNA in the heart forming region during heart morphogenesis; (ii) the effects of RA observed in vivo can be duplicated in the in vitro systems of avian heart forming cells and human early cardiovascular progenitor cells; (iii) the interaction of TGFβ2 and retinoic acid is time and cell type dependent.

A vitamīna un tā aktīvās formas retīnskābes (RA) deficīts izsauc smagus embrioģenēzes traucējumus, kas saistīti ar kardiovaskulārās sistēmas attīstības defektiem. RA funkcijas agrīnās ebrioģenēzes stadijās nav bijusi pētīta. Izpētot RA ietekmi uz TGFβ2 nonācām pie galveniem secinājumiem: (i) vitamīna A deficīts putnu embrioģenēzes sākumposmā paaugstina TGFβ2 proteīna un mRNS uzkrāšanos sirdi veidojošajā rajonā; (ii) in vivo novērotos efektus iespējams modelēt in vitro kultūrās, kas iegūtas no putnu sirdi veidojošā rajona un/vai cilvēka kardiovaskulārām priekštečšūnām; (iii) TGFβ2 un RA mijiedarbība ir atkarīga no šūnu attīstības stadijas un tipa.
