Mean annual run-off loss recorded was 19.8% of the rainfall. Highest run-off was associated with the very wet months between September and December. Among the treatments, highest run-off was recorded in plots under bare ground with run-off of 30.8%, followed by plotswith contour stacked fronds (17.8%) and plots with contour stacked fronds + silt pit (10.7%). Annual soil losses and contour stacked fronds + silt-pit respectively. Overall broadcast of fertilizer application was more superior to burial method statistically but not to silt-pit on terraced areas as results indicated soil losses caused by run-off and leaching was very minimal if proper agronomic practices such as contour frond stacking has been implemented accordingly.
