The investigations to study the effect of different irrigation frequencies and nitrogen levels on growth and yield components of SH-2002 were carried out during the Rabi season. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design by keeping a net plot size of 1.5m x 6m with four replications. Irrigation frequencies and nitrogen fertilizer applications were kept in the main and sub plots respectively. The crop was sown on November 23, using the recommended seed rate of 100 kg/ha. The results revealed that the irrigation levels significantly increased the number of total and fertile tillers, plant height, ear length, number of spikelets per spike, number of grains/ear, 1000-grain weight, grain and straw yield and harvest index. Four irrigations, first at root initiation, second at jointing, third at anthesis and fourth at grain filling stage proved to be the best for obtaining maximum grain yield of 4700.79 kg/ha.
