The aim of this study was to examine morphometrical characteristics of part of Busha breed population. On the southwestern part of Sharplanina massif the body development was investigated in cows of the Busha breed during two years. Investigation was performed on 132 cows, of which 82 were older (8 years old) and 50 were in first lactation (3-3.5 years old). Within the investigated population significant variability was discovered in body development both in older and younger cows. This was probably due to extensive production practice, inadequate feeding and care and lack of zootechnical measures. Older cows have bigger values of exterior measures compared to younger cows.
