Operating characteristics of some problems of agricultural engineering in Slovakia

This article deals with analyzing the current state of operation of machine technology in Slovak agriculture. In the current difficult economic situation, in which appears most farms is not created adequate conditions for the development of mechanization as a subsystem of the sector. So called opening of the price scissors can be taken as a major cause of persistent problems. Since the enterprises has got generally the lack of the resources for the reproduction of fixed capital, without outside assistance cannot be expected in the near future solution for those conditions. To maintain the competitiveness it will be essential for agriculture continues to allocate subsidy funds, whether from European or domestic sources and is particularly desirable to provide a more permanent stabilization of prices for agricultural products.
