The aim of this research was to investigate the influence of inoculation on grain yield and microbiological activity in rhizospheric soil under maize cultivar. Twelwe mixed microbial inoculums were tested in this research. The number of systematic and physiological groups of microorganisms as well as the enzymatic activity depended on the applied microbial formulation, the amount of applied mineral nitrogen and the mutual interactions of the two factors. The inoculums performed a statistically significant influence on the number of the majority of investigated microbial groups in the rhizospheric soil. According to the results of this research, inoculation did positively affect the total number of microorganisms, the number of ammonifiers and the total number of free-living nitrogen fixing organisms. The activity of three phosphatases were higher in inoculated variants than in uninoculated control. Microbial biomass N was, in average, increased in inoculated variants. Maize grain yield was also increased in all variants with inoculation. The interactions among various microorganisms and between microorganisms and plants depend on the specific gene expression involved in these interactions. That is way further investigations have to be performed to determine the effects of joined microbial inoculation, not only in controlled or semicontrolled conditions but in field trails too.
