Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are cultivars from famous Bordeaux wine rayon in West France. They belong to the cultivars' group occidentalis, subgroup gallica. Studies were done in Center for Viticulture and Vinery in Niš (Serbia) during 2003 and 2004. Cultivars were investigated by training system Karlovački and they were pruned with 23 fertile buds per grapevine. Aim of this work is to present characteristics of these two cultivars by analyzing of: coefficient of shoot fruitfulness, coefficient of bud fertility, average grape mass, and yield per grapevine. During studies, year showed to have great influence to characteristics reffered to cultivars fertility. Conclusion that can be drawn from results is that both cultivars Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc can be successfully grown in vineyard rayon of Niš (Serbia).
