Complex dynamic systems, like central systems for water supply and wastewater treatment with significant number of interacting processes, rarely operates in steady state. Basic role of measuring information systems is related to control disturbances. in sense of those disturbances wastewater treatment systems are affected mainly both by mass load variations and by input water quality. Through advanced control of these processes could be achieved dual effect: higher output quality together with decease in operating time, energy and material used. This paperwork gives brief overview of measuring information systems possible applications in the central systems for wastewater treatment.
